Light Flex Connects Miners at Boliden
September 7, 2018. Light Flex Technology has developed a safety system imbedded in a high-vis vest for the mining industry together with mining giant Boliden. The garments are equipped with worker proximity sensors to alert drivers of mining vehicles of nearby workers in the mines and respond with active light pattern responses on the garments. The garments also use Ericsson’s precise positioning system for worker location & advanced safety management. Moreover, the safety garments enhance worker safety in autonomous vehicle environments.

February 14, 2017. On February 8th, 28 out of 450 registered contestants Light Flex was nominated to become the category winner of Innovator of the Year. The decision – which was definitely not easy with respect to the high quality of submitted solutions – was made by an international expert jury.
